Nadine Robinson is a bright and beautiful memory for those who knew her well. She moved to Canada from Jamaica at the age of 13 and attended Killarney Junior High and Eastglen Composite High School. Nadine made friends easily with her bright smile and quirky sense of humour, much like one of her favourite shows, 'Seinfeld'. Her friends would describe her as a patient, kind, and deeply caring person, and so it would be no surprise that she would pursue a career in nursing.

After becoming a Licensed Practical Nurse in 1999, Nadine found joy in working within many disciplines of nursing. Nadine worked at Capital Care Dickinsfield, McConnell Place, Royal Alexandra Hospital (most often Unit 53), and Shepherd's Care Kensington. Nadine absolutely loved working with dementia patients and her vibrant soul made an impact on everyone she cared for, on and off the job. She went on to share her love for nursing by becoming a Health Care Aide instructor at Nightingale Academy and was so proud to graduate her first class of Health Care Aides in November 2005.

Nadine's passion for nursing pales in comparison to her love for her family. She loved her parents, Vinton and Antonette Robinson, and her siblings Kevin, Courtney and Kendra Robinson very much. Nadine loved and cared for her son, Stephen Robinson, with all her heart and worked hard to give him a life full of love and laughter. Nadine loved going on road trips to the lake and to the mountains, and enjoyed the serenity of nature. Although getting to the destination may not be so calming, as she drove a little too fast sometimes, but road trips with Nadine were always fun nonetheless.

Nadine believed that there is good in all of us, and that doing good for others is extremely important. Even in the midst of her toughest times she would put others first. "Oh well...It is what it is..." with joy and a smile she carried on, always loving, always caring, always Nadine.
